Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Juventus this summer after just two seasons with the club. Fresh from sealing a second successive Serie A title, Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be considering his future.
According to France Football, the Portuguese is unhappy in Italy and has previously ‘dreamed’ of a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The report claims Ronaldo is close to Neymar and admires Kylian Mbappé. The prospect of ending his career with both players could be too much to resist.
Now 35, Ronaldo’s days at the very top are numbered. The forward has netted 35 times in 2019/20; but his time is running out if he wants to win a sixth Champions League. Or a sixth Ballon d’Or, for that matter.
The Portuguese has had a strained relationship with Maurizio Sarri this season; to Italian colleagues; and seriously doubts that Juventus are at his level.
The report claims Ronaldo wanted to leave Turin after the 2-1 victory over Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League last year, frustrated at the team’s performance, despite the victory.
According to France Football, had PSG president Nasser al-Khelaïfi been in the room with Ronaldo that night, he would have signed immediately as he wanted to play alongside the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.
The suggestion is that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed things for now, however Ronaldo is not unhappy in Turin, but he isn’t happy either.
Juventus return to Champions League action this week and Ronaldo could, of course; be crowned the champion of Europe once again before the end of the month. For now, though, he isn’t guaranteed to be in Turin by the time next season kicks off.
